For the Community, By the Community

The primary purpose of the Busungu Community Center is to provide an affordable and proper education to children from 4-7 years old in the Madale region of Tanzania. This area is underserved and lacks government funding to educate the over 400 children living in this region, with only two nursery schools currently to serve their needs. Madale is on the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam, the commercial capital of Tanzania.

As well as providing an education, our long-term objective is to create a community center in which all children in Madale can have access to our center’s resources, including books and computers. In doing so, we can maximize their abilities and imprint long-standing positive change in this region.
